The Windsor Lodge is in the town of Drogheda. Drogheda is located on the N1, the primary road between Dublin and Belfast.
The Windsor Lodge is situated near the historic Boyne Valley. Drogheda is an old medieval town where many famous events occurred such as the Battle of the Boyne. It is also connected with Saint Oliver Plunkett, Poynings Law and Cromwells Siege.
The Windsor Lodge is within easy reach of both Dublin and Belfast, including Dublin Airport. The ancient Newgrange is only 20 minutes away. Mellifont Abbey and Monasterboice High Cross are 10 minutes away. Golf courses at Baltray, Ardee, Laytown and Seapoint are all nearby.
Windsor Lodge consists of six bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. The bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated throughout. In room facilities incude tea/coffee making facilities and TV. The B&B is also family friendly and a cot is available on request. A delicious breakfast is served each morning in the dining area. Hillwalking, horseriding and angling are just some of the activities which can be enjoyed locally.

We were made very welcome and a suberb service was provided. There were lovely common areas, including a well equipped kitchen. Recommendations on local restaurants and places to visit were also provided.
The Windsor Lodge features private parking, so no need to park on the street.
