Scholars Hotel is a 3 star Townhouse Hotel built in 1867 located in the centre of Drogheda in Count Louth. The hotel is conveniently located and is only 20 minutes from Dublin Airport on the M1. 

Dining at Scholars Restaurant is a Michelin recommended 60 seat capacity, fine dining experience for every occasion, with a private room facility for conference and exclusive dining. The restaurant is complimented by Scholars Bar. Quiet and relaxed it makes the perfect setting to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif. The Scholars Townhouse is a Non Smoking hotel.

Directions

On entering Drogheda town, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto R152. Go through the first roundabout
 turn left at Dulleek St, turn right at Mary's St. Turn left at James St/N1, turn right at Bull Ring and continue on to Constitution Hill.
Turn left at Cord Rd, through stone Arch Way. Then turn right immediately at Palace St. Continue on to King St and the hotel is on the left.

Description

Drogheda is a very historic town and became one of the most important strongholds in Ireland in ancient times. Stroll through the street and admire the medieval architecture that is prominent in the town today. Hop in the car and explore the rich culture attached to the Boyne Valley. We stayed at Scholars as we were attending a concert at McHughs in Drogheda. The hotel was only 5 mins walk so was ideal for after the show. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone paying a visit to Drogheda even moreso if going to a gig at Mchughs. Highly reccommended.
