Description
Since you are located just off the M1 motorway, you are within easy access to all major tourist attractions. Take a short trip to the beautiful seaside village of Blackrock just 2 miles away and sample the great food and fun at the excellent restaurants and pubs in the village. Dundalk has deep historical roots and is the county town of Louth, the smallest county in Ireland. The scenic landscape surrounding Carlingford Lough is approximately 10 miles way, well worth visiting!
Directions
From Dublin or South Dundalk
Leave the M1 motorway at junction 16, which is signposted Dundalk South, Ardee, N52. You will reach a roundabout and take the Dundalk exit off the roundabout. You will reach a set of traffic lights almost immediately and take the first left right before the lights and follow the signs for Heynestown.
Stay to your right around the island and at the junction with the traffic lights cross over onto the dual carriageway. Pass Haggardstown Garden Centre and take a left over the bridge. Lynolan House is the third house on the left hand side.
From Dundalk
Continue to follow the signs for Dublin. As you reach the bypass (now Dundalk Institute of Technology with its large windmill) follow the signs for Dublin M1. After the big ‘X’ sign after the Xerox factory take a left, following the signs for Heynestown. Approximately 1km along this road Lynolan House is located on your right.
Rooms
Each of the elegant guestrooms in the home are beautifully decorated and maintained. The rooms are supplied on a daily basis with fresh towels and toiletries. Most of the bedrooms consist of a double bed and single bed while all the rooms have full en-suite facilities. This is a non-smoking house but out-door smoking facilities are available. Each of the bedrooms is fitted with fire alarm detector and sounder.
In-room amenities include clock/radio alarm, TV, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and cosy electric blankets on the beds on those chilly winter evenings. The two family rooms are quiet large and spacious since they were originally four rooms. The bedrooms were combined and fitted with full en-suite facilities – ideal for families and groups.
Facilities
Throughout the B&B's 20 years of entertaining guests it has also gone through some internal and external renovations and remodelling. Sit back and enjoy the sunshine streaming in the windows of the spacious conservatory. It can seat up to 20 people comfortably and is the ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine and a good book or to chat with other guests.
Enjoy a home cooked Irish breakfast in the dining room or a wide choice of cereals, yoghurts, juices, chesses and freshly made breads. End you day on a relaxing note as you plan the next day’s activities on the comfortable lounge chairs in from of a blazing open fire.
The bathroom is also very spacious and includes a four-person sauna, stream shower and Jacuzzi bath. A large half-acre front and back garden surround the property with beautifully maintained shrubs and plants to admire.
