You are within walking distance of the little village of Abbeyshrule, once the site of a great monastery, where there is an airfield, a canal harbour, and some of the best fishing in the midlands. Other outdoor activities for you to enjoy while here include golf, horse riding, and hill walking. The property is centrally located for touring the midlands' famous attractions, including the Cistercian Abbey where you can see the only surviving high cross in Longford, as well as tthe Boyne Valley in neighbouring County Meath.
