Ballymahon Festival is a four day event which caters for every age group. Main events include tug o war competitions, street theatre, pub entertainer competition, children's puppet shows, free concerts.

Ballymahon is located in South Longford. It is situated on the picturesque River Inny which flows into the Shannon Waterway two miles south of the town.
