the cellar bar

This is an old style bar located in the beautiful market town of Abbeyfeale on the banks of the river Feale. This imposing corner building, a former hotel has been meticulously preserved, its original stonework, timber floors and ceiling in pristine condition. Vintage ‘point of sale’ material, enamel signs, church pews, antique furniture and lots of period paraphernalia give it its charm. Old radiators and a blackened stove are in keeping with the tradition of former times.
The original cellar has been theme-consciously transformed into a traditional entertainment venue with live bands, top musicians and concerts on a regular basis, not to mention the many impromptu sessions for which the cellar is famous. This is the spiritual home of many of the country’s best known traditional musicians.<
