The people of Limerick go all out for the celebration of Ireland’s patron saint, with not one, not two but five days of festivities, enough to rival Dublin. This week long festival has loads of street entertainment in the form of music, street theatre, dance, market stalls and plenty more. The crowning glory is the parade that attracts thousands every year and also the dozens of marching bands that compete in the Limerick International Band Competition.
