I love how Railway Hotel is right across the street from the bus station. The location made moving luggage easy for me. The bathroom was a nice size, not too cramped like at some places where I've stayed. I had every amenity I wanted at a reasonable cost. Service was fine. I would have preferred that they told me the check-out time and the hours for breakfast when I checked in instead of having to ask, but that's a minor point.
Rooms were basic, but adequate, decor a little dated, but clean. Added to the character of the place - generic travel inns are ten a penny on city breaks. Reception staff were helpful, Breakfast nice & filling.
Really good value for money! Very handy to everything
Overall great value but breakfast I was told was alraedy finished at 1030, if they finish so early they should let people know in advance, did not see that stated anywhere. But room had everything required, bed was fine, not great pressure in shower and staff a little rude at one point had to wait 10 mins for receptionist to finish chatting to her mates on her mobile before she would answer my question. Overall great value, good room, great location, but being cheated out of breakfast left a sour taste as did poor reception staff.
The 1st room I had was not good at all and i was moved the 2nd night but there was not very much room to get into bed at night as the bottom of the bed was almost aginst the wndow and one had to duck to get passed the tv
The location is convenient to downtown and transportation. The restaurant/bar is popular with locals which is always a good sign.
The room I was in was so loud. I could hear all the noise from the street and the pub below.
Cold, the radiator failed to work dispite our requests.
nice family run hotel. great value for money. very helpful and friendly staff. very good breakfast.
Excellent value for money, obviously very central for both rail and bus connections. The staff were all very helpful and the hotel had a good local clientelle which increased the company for me as a solo traveller.
A comfortable hotel with great service in a great location that makes traveling easy.
Great vaule for money.
I opted for the cheapest non en suite room, which was on the top floor, overlooking the station. It suited me perfectly. The bathroom was just opposite, across the corridor, and I had pretty exclusive use of it. Everything felt clean and hygenic. The breakfasts were all that I required, and more.
The staff was wonderful and very helpful to family with kids.
