It’s also close to the wonderful Lough Gur, which is characterised by various historical landmarks dating back to the stone ages. Galbally, which is to the east, is a picturesque village well worth a visit, while there are plenty of opportunities for a round of golf or horse riding nearby. Why not drive west to the town of Adare which has been long acknowledged as one of the most attractive villages in the country.
