Head south towards Kerry to see the mountainous green landscapes of Killarney and the various sublime championship courses that make the county such a golfer’s haven. Just north is the magical village of Adare, where the preserved old world feel of the town makes it famous all over. For a bout of shopping make for Limerick City, and be sure to climb King John’s Castle for a breathtaking view out onto the Shannon.
