I stayed at Lockview house 3 nights at Christmas. Carmel and John were the most lovely hosts, and so welcoming. They welcomed me with open arms. I had been traveling alone during Christmas, tracing my family roots, and I was floored by their true Irish hospitality. I had never stayed at a B&B that was so accommodating, with hosts who were so personable. Carmel even went on an adventure with me as I tried to track down my old family houses. It was an incredible gesture of her incredible generosity. The house itself is beautiful as well. Immaculately kept, it is by far the cleanest accommodation of any kind I have stayed in. I also had the privilege of eating dinner with Carmel and John -- what a treat that was! All of the food was cooked to perfection. The house is very comfortable and in a beautiful, quiet location of County Leitrim, and of course there is a traditional pub nearby. Carrick-on-Shannon is also near, about a 10 minute drive, for those who want to enjoy some nightlife. There are not enough words I can say to show how highly I recommend this B&B. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay there, and you will not be able to find better, anywhere in the world.
