Guest house was generally very good. The room had the hand basin in the bedroom area. This had the advantage of allowing one guest to use the hand basin while the other could use the main bathroom area.However it meant that the shower head had to be used after visiting the toilet!! Perhaps a small hand basin could be fitted in the main bathroom area. The atmosphere at the breakfast table was very good. Most were out and about in Carrick-on-Shannon the previous night. The craic and the breakfast were in good order!! The guest house is close to the centre. The weather was not so good so taxis had to be used. Approx 6 euro each way. The location was very convenient for us attending the Donegal v Galway and Antrim v Kerry matches on Sat July 25th & Sun 26th July.We travelled from Gweedore,Donegal to Sligo for the Donegal match on Saturday,stayed overnight in Carrick-on-shannon and then on to Tullamore for the Antrim match. Long journey home to Gweedore on Sunday!! Enjoyable trip overall!!
