The restaurant is excellent and the staff very personable and helpful. I did think that in some cases the "detailing" on the physical aspects could be a bit more refined (e.g., no soap holders in showers, counter-intuitive shower dial) maybe in keeping with the fine ambience of the restaurant.

Nice small hotel that is centrally located and within easy reach of all there is to see in Kilkenny City
Very attractive boutique-type hotel with a great central location. Car park a huge advantage though best to go at weekends as it shares it with offices in the courtyard and we were told it can be very difficult to find a car space during the week. Room was lovely though shower cubicle was a bit dodgey which was a pity. But for that the room itself was perfect and very quiet. Staff overall were pleasant though in particular one Irish guy on reception and one non-Irish girl in the restaurant were very friendly. Otherwise staff were professional but not the friendliest. Price was probably average or slightly above average. Not cheap and cheerful but not overpriced I don't think. Restaurant was fine and very busy though the food on our meal out was better we felt.
