Oldtown Farmhouse is a superb B&B situated on an elevated site with magnifcent views of surrounding countryside in the Thomastown area of County Kilkenny, just metres off the N10 Kilkenny to Waterford road and 3km off the N9 Dublin to Waterford road. The B&B is 1km from Mount Juliet Golf Course and Hotel, Kilkenny is a 10 minutes drive, while you are only 20 minutes from Waterford and 1 hours drive from Rosslare.  While staying at the Oldtown Farmhouse you are a 5 minute drive from Jerpoint Abbey, Kells Priory - where the largest monastic settlement is Ireland is situated, Kilree Steple and High Cross.

Sitting on a working farm, Oldtown Farmhouse has a pleasant rural feel and a comfortably furnished interior. You can even enjoy a complimentary guided tour of the 2000 year old ring fort and propagation nursery on the premises, or just have a leisurely stroll in the large garden area.
Coming From Kilkenny
Take Waterford N10 through Stoneyford. Travel on the main road for about one mile. After the village, take the first left. The B&B is about 500meters down that road on the left hand side.

From Thomastown
From Thomastown, Oldtown Farmhouse is signposted on the N9, take the first turn right just 3.2km south of Thomastown. The house is well sighposted on both routes.
Bedroom
The bedrooms are spacious and located on the ground floor with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and TV. This friendly B&B has a high standard of accommodation where all of the spacious bedrooms have views.
Breakfast Room
There is a lounge for guests to relax and unwind after a days touring. Refreshments with home baking will greet you upon arrival.

Oldtown Farmhouse is on a family run farm and an award winning propagation nursery which exports plants to England, Continental Europe, America and the home market.

Also on the farm land is a 1700 to 2000 year old ring historic ringfort - for any guests who are interested in the Nursery or Ringfort your hosts will be delighted to give you a complimentary tour.

Other sights include the ruins of Jerpoint Abbey, and if you fancy a drink or a meal there are plenty of lively pubs and good restaurants locally.

A short drive north will take you to Kilkenny (10mins) where the shopping and sightseeing opportunities are excellent, while opportunities for outdoor pursuits such as horse riding, boating, fishing, car racing and even gun sports are all available locally.
