In general service staff were friendly. One member of reception staff (Peter) was professional but curt with an obvious corporate response to an issue raised. Namely we were two couples. One couple had a room at the front of the hotel which appeared in better order,with more modern effects was was slightly larger. The second was in the back of the hotel and even the approach corrridor was less inviting and of a lower standard and decore. The room it self was less impressionable. When this was raised with reception staff (Peter), he was insistant the rooms were the same as they offerred the same facilities and as the hotel was full could not change the room. That night there were several complaints about the behaviour of a group of guests which affected one couple. This matter was dealt with and as compensation a room change given to an executive room, with a bottle of wine. The wine did not arrive. The room was a vast improvement but it was noticed that on the vennered panels above the both sides of the bed there was a message written in the dust "clean me." The domestic staff were notified in the morning but it was unclear if she understood so it was reported to reception staff (Rikki). Although she acknowledged this from her smile and brief conversation I doubt anything was done. When checking out we had not realised breakfast was not included (an oversight on our part) and as we had not been charged on morning one this as not added to the account. However when paying there was some confusion on the total amonut as they had not deduct the deposit.This was honoured.

Thank you for your honest feedback and I am sorry you were disappointed with your recent stay particularly in relation to the rooms. All our rooms are 4**** standard approved but the décor and size may differ. It is advisable to let us know at time of booking that you are with another party so that we can allocate rooms close by for your convenience. However I promise to take your comments on board regarding the housekeeping issue and investigate it immediately. Customer satisfaction is one of the highest priorities here in Newpark Hotel and it is only by receiving constructive customer comments that we will ensure that our guests receive first class service and facilities at all times. Thought it was very expensive for a room only rate 180 euro! And the hotel was still selling rooms.

Clean, friendly service - even after hours food service. Very nice and friendly night porter.
This hotel was nice and swimming pool etc was v. clean. bar was v. spacious and nice but felt that a lively band or some music of the sort would have been better for young people and would encourage to stay in the bar for a few drinks we did not stay in the bar for a drink as we did not like the music played by the man on the piano felt he would have been better in the lobby or something. Overall hotel was nice.
A good class of Hotel with friendly staff I would say 'good value'.
Lovely bedrooms, good location and good value. Not so keen on the restaurant, food menu is limited.
