A beautiful hotel with a lot of different spaces to eat, drink, and hang out. Only downside was that I thought the beds could have been a little more comfortable.
Absolutely brilliant, will definitely stop again. Large room and bed, jacuzzi bath and right in the middle of town (but not too noisy). Staff were lovely.
Staff seemed very professional and pleasant.
The noise from the night club was extremely loud, even with the windows closed. Those with noise sensitivity issues will not be happy.
Langton House hosts a nightclub on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I stayed on a Tuesday night, and was kept awake until 2AM with blaring disco tunes. This is completely unacceptable. I spoke to the desk staff the following morning, and they were deeply apologetic. They discounted the bill as compensation, which I appreciated but I wouldn't stay at the hotel again if there was a nightclub happening, and I feel that guests should be warned when they book.
Lovely room and facilities and ideal if you want a place to stay in the centre of town where all the action is happening!
Excellent room, great central location
1 Room, 'a Garden Suite' was large and well appointed. Lots extras such as safe, ironing board mini bar. Only downside was it smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Our fault perhaps for not requesting a non smoking room 2 No menu on table at breakfast - would have been helpful to see what cooked foods were available. 3 On our first morning we were in the dining room for 15 minutes before a member of staff appeared. Unfortunately we seemed to be a bit of an inconvenience to this lady. Service was grudging and she was not particularly forthcoming about alternatives to the 'Irish Breakfast'(see 2 above) All the rest of the staff we came into contact with were extremely friendly and welcoming. Price we paid via Go Ireland was very good - a bargain infact - we got the room for less than 50% of the price displayed in the hotel.
It has without question the best outside smoking facilities i have ever seen, with a brilliant setting a wonderful hotel.
This was by far the nicest hotel we stayed at in Ireland and was a great value. The facilities were beautiful as well. The rooms were very stylish, clean and comfortable.
