I loved it and my only regret is that I was not able to enjoy my breakfast outside and enjoy the view. I must visit during warm weather.

Very nice staff, very clean rooms, excellent service. A very nice hotel with a lovely friendly atmosphere. I'm in the hotel business and am always observing what goes on elsewhere so please take following comments as construcitve criticism. I thought is was over-priced (€130.00 pps pn) but the hotel must make hay too!. The food menus were grubby in the hotel bar and the restaurant appeard to be serving a Table d'hote menu only. I'm not sure if the bar at the front was part of the hotel (flannerys I think) but the service was appalling. I noticed 2 parties leaving due to confusion with their food orders. All in all I found this hotel experience to be one of the best in recent times.
It was very nice and the only complaint was that there could have been some hair conditioner and maybe some face-cloths. The bath towels were also a bit on the small side and could be as big as the towels at the swimming pool.
Informed me on arrival that we could get a discount on a room upgrade. Was very happy with this.
The rooms are lovely.Housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff were excellent in every way. The breakfast was wonderfull looked forward to it every morning.The hotel in in an excellent spot with lovely veiws. Had a lovly time.
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were always very polite and professional. The room and bathroom were a good size for three people. I did think however that it was overpriced at 105 euros a night sharing with two others.
Our overall opinion of KILKENNY RIVER COURT was excellent..From the friendly, welcoming smile of the reception staff; we were given a Suite for a Smoking Room by way of congratulations on our upcoming wedding!!....We wouldn't hesitate recommending Kilkenny River Court to our friends!!
Lovely hotel well situated but would only stay b+b in the future as a 10 euro supplement for a steak is a bit over the top.
Enjoyed my stay at this Hotel-would comment that the Location is excellent-set beside the main river and beside the Castle-in the centre of City and walking distance to all the historical sites/pubs/restaurants...
Our first room had a small double bed and a single bed. We wanted a larger double bed so the hotel responded immediately. We got a new room with a larger bed and a better view.
The staff were friendly and very attentive. Breakfast was terrific with a huge range of foods available. Dinner was on a par with a gourmet restaurant. The bar offered all varieties of snacks and food - all options covered. The hotel has a 'yes, can do' attitude rather than 'can't because' attitude.
The hotel staff was very helpful at all times...especially when the night staff helped me to confirm my flight out with Aer Lingus.

A perfect central location with good parking facilities and within walking distance of the train and railway station. The staff were courteous and the hotel itself was of a four star standard with the excellent facilities which one would expect from a hotel of its type. The restaurant was also above average.

It is a wonderful central hotel with superb facalities and we highly recommend it.
Excellent hotel in beautiful location (although the car park entrance/exit through the arches was a bit hair-raising!). Reception staff particularly friendly and helpful. Was particularly impressed on the occasion we returned to our room after a day out to discover we had accidently left a fairly large sum of money on the bedside table - the maid had stacked it neatly at one side (and earned herself a good tip!)
Felt rushed out of the main bar on two occasions, to residents bar where we had to ask for heating to be turned on.

I thought it was an excellent Hotel in every way. No faults whatsoever and it is has a great location where you have quick access to main shopping areas and beautiful Kilkenny Castle.
The rooms were very nice and extremely clean. The staff were very helpful and very polite. It was a pleasure to stay there.
A GOOD SITUATION IN A KIND CITY
The last visit was the second time we had stayed at Kilkenny River Court and we would stay there again.
River-side rooms have a great view across to the castle and of course the river and the bridge, but be prepared to also enjoy the revelries taking place below in Riverside bar and function rooms (Wedding parties can be loud and protracted affairs!) So perhaps not the place for a quite weekend if you like early nights. That said the restaurant provided excellent food and when we stayed there we had a piano accommpaniment, which was quite lovely. However, expect to pay good prices for the privilege. Kilkenny is a lively place on a summer week-end so accept that the hotel is part of it and enjoy it!
The Kilkenny River Court was a really lovely hotel and the staff were extremely nice and helpful.
Had a lovely stay. The only negative point was the sauna was broken the weekend we were there.

While staying at the hotel renovations were being carried out at the bar area. Need additional staff during good weather to cater for people wishing to eat outside. Overall an enjoyable stay.
We booked this hotel at the last minute and didn't really know what to expect, but we thought it was excellent. Sadly, we only used the hotel as a base, so didn't make much use of the facilities. The staff and food were excellent, we WILL be staying again!

Central and accessible but parking quite limited, especially on busy weekends and holiday times.
It was lovely and in a perfect location, would definitely return.
