Lovely hotel in a great location. Shame about the nonsense check in times and the lack of bar staff.
Good location for touring around
Perhaps my best experience in a hotel in Ireland; I have unfortunately not encoutered better service and friendliness in this country. Of particular mention would be waiter Steven and Emma at reception. Steven organized hot food to be delivered to the hotel after their restaurant was closed, while Emma arranged for breakfast to be delivered to the room at 5am as we were fasting. It was only marred by our second day in the hotel when a communication error between staff resulted in breakfast not being delivered for our morning meal in time. That could've been a big problem if we did not have leftovers from the day before. The staff incharged of room service apologized though for the mix-up.
Excellent hotel
Hotel was lovely. thought the staff at both reception could have been a bit more helpful. When we checked in all that was done was the administration there was no info given about the hotel or amenities or general chit chat. Thought the staff in the leisure centre could also have been a little more helpful.We said it was our first time using the facilities and we weren't given any information. These are only small things and didn't say them to the staff when we were there.
We had a wonderful time, facilities great. Swimming pool great size, staff and service exellent even though they were very busy. All round good value, coming from England , a little cheaper would not go a miss, but would stay again.
Clean, modern, quiet and more than comfortable. The Leisure Centre and Spa across the road was lovely, but unfortunately I left it too late to book an appointment. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would visit it again.
check in was printed as 15.oo hrs and when we arrived we were told it was 16.00 hrs...and it was our mistake!!! Check in is too late at 16.00 hrs
All the staff was very friendly and professional apart from the cleaning ladies who knocked at our door and woke us up at 9.00 whereas we didnt have to leave the bedroom before 12.00. The hotel was very pleasant and the bedoom very confortable, the breakfast was very very good.
The hotel was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Earls bar & bistro was closed for renovation and the leisure centre was also closed which i think someone should have informed us prior to the trip. One member of staff wasn't very friendly when serving in the lounge area. Otherwise it was ok
Rooms are nice and comfortable clean also only stayed there for one nite, but it was nice.
The hotel was very nice however renovations are on-going at present and this information was not available on their website. After a wonderful weekend the check out was very disappointing. There was a very large queue for checking out and because of that it tool over 45 minutes to check out!!
The hotel is in a great location. The bedroom was a good size and clean. The lounge / bar area of the hotel is not very pleasant. Services for breakfast was good, but the food wasn't great.
We really enjoyed our stay with you. The hotel is excellent and the staff were great. Good food as well and beautifully presented. We were delighted to have an early breakfast in the lounge at just after 6 a.m. This is something we find lacking in many of the hotels we have stayed in. This was not a problem at the Ormonde and was greatly appreciated. We only wish we had more time to spend with you and would have used the leisure facilities as well.
The service was really great and the staff very friendly. The room was lovely.The breakfast was very filling and set you up for the day.
This was the nicest hotel we ever stayed in, our visit was made so good because the staff were just wonderful and the food was excellent. We had no compalints at all.
It was very nice but that was helped by the generosity and pleasant staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.
Seeing as we had our young daughter with us, we felt we were extremely well treated and nothing was a problem. The teddy in the travel cot was a lovely touch.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. I would like to stay at the hotel if I ever have the good luck to be in Kilkenny again.

This hotel was perfect. It is in a fantasic location up a side street in the city centre. There was car parking available and it was close by all pubs resturaunts and Kilkenny castle. It was ideal for for a nice relaxing, fun break with my boyfriend.
The hotel was beautiful and we were made feel really welcome as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary there. The food was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful.
We use your Sunday offer, which was value for money, pay for one day – stay two days. I celebrated my 53rd birthday morning in your good swimming facility and in your restaurant with a tremendous Irish breakfast together with other families with a lot of children – Because at same time you had special offer, that children cut stay free together with their paying parents. That was great- I will never forget.
