The Celtic House was opened seven years ago by Angela and John Byrnes. Since then the Celtic House has become one of the busiest B&Bs in Kilkenny.

Directions

The Celtic House is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Kilkenny City. We are the nearest B&B to City center. You can walk everywhere from our B&B.

From Kilkenny Tourist office Rose Inn Street which is on your left hand side, drive over St. John's Bridge up to the traffic lights. Take a left, drive down that street (There are a row of small houses on your left hand side). When you come to the end of the house's take a sharp left and you are on Michael Street. We are down the street on the left hand side.

The bus and rail station is a few minutes walk away.

Within Walking Distance

The Celtic House is conveniently located close to all the attractions of Irelands smallest city. The amazing medieval architecture, Kilkenny Castle and the menagerie of bars and restaurants all combine to make Kilkenny a joy to visit. Kilkenny is also known for its late opening shops.

Within 10kms

The Celtic House is only a 30 minute drive away from the famed Mount Juliet golf course and for horse racing; Gowran Park is also within easy reach.

The rooms within the Celtic House are all ensuite, with double and triple rooms available. Cable TV is also a feature to entertain you when you are relaxing in the house. We have combo TV's which you can play your own DVD

Although the one-way streets make this a difficult B&B to navigate into, its location for visiting the historic area of the town and for meals and shopping is ideal. Accommodation in the downstairs section of the annexe is a bit dark and drab with windows opening to ground level.
