What I liked LEAST about this B and B was they misled me about the distance from town...they list it as 2 1/2 Killometers from town...it is actually 2 1/2 miles from town or more...I had to walk to and from with no bus service.

The place was extremely clean and new, the room was big, and the people were marvellous, they greeted us with a smile, they gave us plenty of information about the town... too bad we could only stay there one night!! I would definitely recommend this b&b to anyone going to Ireland!

Castlefield was the best Bed and Breakfast experience we had on our two week trip. The staff was fantastic and the rooms were quaint and comfortable. The setting close to Kilkenny, but in the country was serene. We will stay there if we return to Kilkenny in the future. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone. I was given a warm welcome and a beautiful room to stay in. It looked out on a stunning river and a field of horses. My room and en-suite were spotless and comfortable. There was plenty of parking space, peace and quiet and tasty breakfast in the morning! Also it is literally 2 minutes drive from Kilkenny town centre and very good value. Perfect for any visitor.
