Angling ( Castlecomer Discovery Park is an excellent place to visit, trout fishing available on the Lake, numerous walking trails and a museum from the coal mining era.
Golf, pitch n putt and horse riding are just some of the fantastic outdoor activities, which can be enjoyed locally.
Take the Ring Road to the Waterford Road roundabout.  Exit the roundabout towards Waterford. Auburndale is immediately visible on the left hand side. Take the first left turn after exiting.

This beautiful 12th century castle is surrounded by a long established rose garden, together with 50 acres of charming and extensive pleasure grounds. Guided tours are available and it guarantees a brilliant day out for all.
Duiske Abbey And Abbey Centre
This beautiful abbey is located in the town centre and is a fine example of an early Cistercian Abbey (A.D. 1204). It consists of many fine Lancet windows and has a large effigy of a Norman Knight.
Dunmore Cave
Dunmore Cave is located in Ballyfoyle, 11km from Kilkenny. It is known in old Irish literature as one of the darkest places in Ireland and as the place where the monster Luchtigern 'The Lord of the Mice' was slain. All is explained an interpretive centre and site museum at the entrance to the cave.
