Description
The centre offers a peatland museum, wildlife garden and nature reserves. Visitors can explore all aspects of Irish peatlands from their formation 10,000 years ago to their archaeological importance with both bog butter and the head and antlers of the Great Irish Elk on display. Finish the tour of the centre in the gardens where you can visit one of the largest displays of insect eating plants in Ireland and also pick up the Irish Peatland Conservation Councils top ten wildlife gardening tips.
