White Heather Farm
The Lovett family have been welcoming guests for over 30 years and have been farming the land for generations. The old stone farm cottage still exists. Cattle mainly Hereford & Charolais, and sheep namely Suffolk & Scotch are reared on the farm. The sheep can be found on the low land in spring during the lambing season and are returned to the mountain in early Summer.
There is always lots to be done on the farm with the vegetables being sown in spring, silage cutting in summer and feeding the animals during the winter months.
Many of our guests take a stroll before or after breakfast to the farm, enjoying the panoramic views on the way. The more adventurous take a picnic to the top of the mountain and walk along the sheep tracks.

The White Heather Farmhouse is a short drive from Kenmare town centre. Kenmare is a haven of tranquillity, gourmet food and breathtaking scenery in one of the most natural, unspoilt environments in Europe. It’s location on the edge of the sea provides Kenmare with seafood that is quite simply the best.
Whether it is walking on the mountains, cruising on the bay, horse riding, golfing, fishing, touring or soaking up the best of music you will not be disappointed in Kenmare.
Activities & Interests
River Sheen flows through the farm and a fishing licence may be purchased in the local town of Kenmare.
Children can learn about nature on the many walks that can enjoyed on the farm.
18 Hole Local Golf Club. Located in Kenmare beside the Kenmare River. Also Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club.
If you are an experienced diver, a newly qualified diver or would just like to try scuba diving or snorkelling then Kenmare Bay Diving has got something for you.
Kenmare Walking Club. Organised walks and festivals. For the moderate walker there are many traditional and marked walking routes.
