Valentia Holiday Homes are beautiful 4 bedroomed semi-detatched holiday houses located on Valentia Island in the picturesque town of Knightstown, in Co. Kerry. These superbly finished houses are just 5 minutes walk to the local shop, pub, restaurants and the quaint pier. The island is a beautiful, scenic base from which to explore south Kerry and offers an abundance of sporting and historical activities.

From Shannon: Via N18 to Limerick, N21 to Abbeyfeale N23 to Castleisland, N22 to Faranfore, N71 to Kenmare via Killarney then N 70 (signposted Sneem & Ring of Kerry). Follow N70 through Sneem/ Caherdaniel / Waterville. Entering Waterville turn lefton N70. From Dublin: N7 to New Inn, M7 to Cork exit, N8 to Mitchelstown, N73 to Kildorrey, N72 to Barraduff, N22 to Killarney, N71 to Kenmare, then N 70 through Sneem/Caherdaniel/Waterville. Entering Waterville turn left still on N70. Turn left on R565 to Portmagee. From Cork: Via N22 to Ballyvorney, R569 to Kenmare then N 70 through Sneem/Caherdaniel/Waterville. Entering Waterville turn left still on N70. Turn left on R565 to Portmagee. Ferry & bridge to the island is in Portmagee. On Valentia From Ferry turn left. Pass the church on the right. Houses are located after it on the right. From Bridge at Portmagee. Travel across bridge, turn right at the junction & drive straight to Knightstown, go right at the end of village, pass Ferry on left, church on right & houses are after it.
This beautifully decorated 4 bedroomed house has a master double room with ensuite facilities, 1 twin room upstairs, 1 double room (4ft bed) and 1 double room ensuite downstairs.
Valentia Island is a walkers paradise, Bray Head is one of the most popular walks on the south side of the Island. Here you can see the remains of the 16th Century beehive huts and you can overlook the small village of Portmagee and it's harbour. Facing to the see you will also see the Skellig Islands where hermit monks lived between the 6th and 18th century. The Lighthouse is a magnificent place to walk to, once a Cromwellian fort from here you have amazing veiws of the Atlantic and across to the mainland. When on the Island make sure to visit the Grotto, mined for slate in the 18 hundreds the Grotto now houses a statue of the Virgin Mary. Other activities which are popular on the Island include angling, scuba diving and cycling.

The house was so central in Knightstown, a nice distace for walking safely into the villiage! There is just so much to do on the island and its so relaxing, you would not want to leave it to go back onto the mainland!

Beautiful house with lots of room. Very close to shops, pubs and restutants. quiet area which is ideal for families with young children.
