Kerry’s county town, Tralee is renowned throughout the world for hosting the International Rose of Tralee Festival which is held each August and is one of the biggest festivals in Ireland.

Located in the north of the picturesque county of Kerry, Tralee is a highly populated, lively town. Today Tralee has all the amenities you could wish for, including historic buildings, spacious parks, superb golf courses, horse and greyhound racing stadiums and the Aqua Dome - Ireland's largest water theme park!

You can gain access to the Dingle Peninsula from the town also. Why not take a scenic drive around the Gaeltacht area or else go south and be amazed by the breathtaking scenery in Killarney and on the famous Ring of Kerry!

Banna Beach is located just outside Tralee town and you can do a whole host of water sports here. If the weathers good, a trip to the popular seaside resort of Ballybunion is a must too!

Tralee is a medieval town and to see what it looked like in 1450, all you have to do is visit the Geraldine Experience which is located in the County Museum. The County Museum is a great place to start your exploration of Kerry and tells the story of Kerry starting from the very first settlers! Tralee has also got a thriving National Folk Theatre, a working windmill and a a working steam train .
