Blasket Islands

Built in 1843, Muckross House was the epitome of a typical 17th century mansion. Then in preparation for Queen Victoria’s visit in 1861, some elaborate renovations were made, making the house the wonderful spectacle that it is today.

Animals to be seen here include; Monkeys, Lemurs, Raccoons, Wallabies, Meerkats, Llama and Alpacas. There are also some birds of prey, water fowl and some pets to be seen. There is also a childrens playground and coffee shop. Coolwood is definately worth a visit if your in Killarney!

The collections include vases, candle holders, bowls, jugs, plates and lots more. Terence draws his inspiration from the wonderful scenery of mountains and lakes in Killarney.
