During your stay at the Heights Hotel, you have an excellent base from which to tour all that Killarney and the beautiful South West has to offer. The hotel is just a short five minute drive from the town centre where you can stroll through the streets and browse in the quaint stores or visit an assortment of attractions at your fingertips. Why not enjoy a site seeing journey with a difference on one of the charming jaunting cars in the town. Discover it all for yourself!
Directions
The Heights Hotel is located less than a mile east of Killarney town centre on the N22, Cork Road.
With the easy accessibility of the hotel from various airports with distances such as Kerry Airport only 12 miles away, Cork Airport is just 60 miles and Shannon Airport is 70 miles away, it’s easy to see why this is a great touring base.
Rooms
All of the bedrooms in the hotel are very well appointed and decorated to a high standard. Each of the rooms has en-suite facilities with the convenience of power showers. As well as this, they also have tea/coffee making facilities, trouser press, hair dryer, cable TV and direct dial telephone - the guests comfort and relaxation is obviously one of the hotels primary objectives.
Some of the bedrooms can accommodation families with a spacious double and single bed. Take advantage of the room service, which is available for breakfast, dinner and light refreshments during the day.
Facilities
The Old Mill Bar and Restaurant combines good old-fashioned Irish cuisine with delicious International dishes. All the ingredients are locally produced and as fresh as you can get it.
The menu is extremely varied and changes on a seasonal basis echoing the availability of produce. The cellar is crammed with excellent wines from all over the world.
If you’d like to enjoy a nice meal in the nostalgic Old Mill Bar and Restaurant without the children, the hotel also provide a babysitting service to look after your precious little ones.A table d’hote and a la carte menu are optional at the restaurant and is open nightly from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. Bon appetite!

With so much to do locally and in the county, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Muckross House and Gardens is a must see during your time in Killarney. It’s located amidst the backdrop of Killarney National Park and is a great base for you to explore this rugged and beautiful terrain. The Garden Restaurant in the grounds is a very popular spot for a relaxing lunch, not only for visitors to the area but locals alike.
Strap on your hiking boots on your way to Torc Waterfall and meander through lush wooded areas and amazing wildlife before you hear the great roar of the falls ahead. A great spot to take photos or just to unwind in serene surroundings.
A trip to County Kerry is never complete until you have toured the Ring of Kerry The drive is an amazing one going through some beautiful towns, some picturesque villages and vistas as far as the eye can see.
