Tarbert is a name worth remembering if you are heading from Kerry north towards the Cliffs of Moher, Shannon or up to Galway as there is a very useful ferry in the village, which should cut a few hours off your travelling time.

This 18th Century three-story stone house has been welcoming guests for years. The house effortlessly blends old world charm with up to date facilities.
Margaret and Ted run the hostel and have a wealth of knowledge regarding what to see and do while in the area.

Ferry House is probably one of the friendliest hostels in Kerry. Hostel Amenities include bicycle lock-up, private parking, laundry and drying facilities, café, breakfast served all day on request and no curfew.

Ferry House is the perfect base to tour the southwest of Ireland. Hop on the ferry across to Killimer and from there go north to the beautiful town of Lahinch and the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher. Travel to the south where you will reach Listowel or drive a little further to the heritage town of Dingle or the popular tourist town of Killarney. Charming Ballybunion is a short distance to the west while lively Limerick and historical Bunratty are to the east. Golfing and fishing are also very popular pastimes in the area.
