1st – 20th My Gentle Harp: Moore’s Irish Melodies
A multimedia exhibition on loan from the Royal Irish Academy based on the life and works of Thomas Moore.
1st – 30th The Irish History Primer – Part 1
An exhibition of etchings by Ivan Armstrong, Belfast, focusing on the tradition of learning in Ireland’s golden age and The Norman Invasion of Ireland.
Weds 2nd Classical Recital
With Gerald Peregrine – Cello and Cathal Breslin – Piano. The programme will include works by Shostakovich, Debussy, Beethoven, Chopin and Mendelssohn. Presented in association with Music Network and R.T.E. Lyric F.M.
Fri 4th The Chloe Hall Trio
Chloe is one of the most exciting international artists at the heart of the folk music scene in Australia. This world tour coincides with the launch of her latest album: ‘Outsider’.
Tues 8th Thomas Moore: One Faithful Harp
A documentary film by Philip King (2005) on the life Thomas Moore.
Weds 9th Happy Days
Beckett’s humorous play on the absurdity of life and human frailty is presented by La Compania Theatre Co; Argentina, who won a ‘Theatre of The World Award’ for this production.
Thurs 10th The Foggy Hogtown Boys
From Toronto, Canada, this five piece group play an exciting mix of American country and bluegrass on banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle and bass.
Fri 11th Song and Dance
A delightful evening of excerpts from operas, operettas and musicals devised, presented and accompanied by Aidan O Caroll with The Kerry School of Music Pro Dance Company and guest vocalists including Aisling O Caroll, Margaret Reen and Aisling Enright.
Sat 12th The Best of Traditional
With the maids of Erin and Friends and presented by Denise Wren. Proceeds in aid of The Greater Chernobyl Cause.
Sun 20th Cherish The Ladies
The Best of Traditional with the award winning Irish American trad group. With Joanie Madden- flute and whistles, Mirella Murphy – accordion, Róisín Dillon – fiddle, Mary Coogan – guitar and mandolin, K.T. Boyle – piano, Heidi Talbot – vocals and bodhrán. With dancers; Eileen Golden & friends.
Tues 22nd The Annapolis Bluegrass Coalition
From Maryland, U.S.A., the band features Roger Green – guitar and vocals, Dan Kinball – mandolin and vocals, Sue Taylor – fiddle, Bob Tice – banjo and Jim Duvall – acoustic bass fiddle.
Weds 23rd The Carducci Quartet
With Matthew Denton – violin, Michelle Fleming – violin, Eoin Schmidt-Martin: Viola and Emma Denton: Cello. The concert will include works by Haydn, Boydell and Shubert. In association with Music Network.

Mon 5th Oct The Listowel Drama Group presents Bryan Mac Mahon’s acclaimed play to mark the centenary of his birth. The cast features Owen Mac Mahon, Imelda Dowling Garvey, Pa Sheahan, Anne Marie Nash, Kevin Barry, Denis Hobson, Mike Moriarty, Ben Landy, John Kinsella, Liz Horgan, Brendan Landy, Cora O’ Brien, Robert O’ Brien, Rebekah Garvey and members of St. Johns Youth Theatre.
