An exhibition of photographs, landscapes, portraits etc by local photographers Dillion Boyer and Tom Fitzgerald – opening Sat 1st September at 8 30pm – all welcome.
Tues 4th THE SWINGING SIXTIES
Two films to mark Heritage Week, in association with Access Cinema. The first – The One-Nighters (1963) follows the adventures of The Royal Showband on tour and looks at the world of the Irish Dance Hall. The second film – The New Matchmakers (1969) explores the role of the Church as the new matchmaker. The film features a class on courtship for young farmers, the Lisdoonvarna Festival and Ballroom dancing at The Bachelor Club in Limerick.
Thurs 6th “PIPERLINK” – BEST OF TRADITIONAL
A performance by Na Píobairí Uilleann featuring piping expert Seán Donnelly and songs from Danú’s Muireann Níc Amhlaoibh. With Seán Potts and Seán McKeon.

11 15am A bilingual puppet show for primary students to mark Heritage Week.

Tues 11th THE JEFF AND VIDA BLUEGRASS BAND
From New Orleans, this fourpiece group play the best of Appalachian bluegrass and country.
Wed 12th THE BEST OF TRAD – TO BRITTANY & BEYOND
A Music Network Tour featuring Emer Mayock – flute, whistles. uilleann pipes and fiddle, Jean Michel – veillon and flutes and Donal Siggins – guitar, bouzouki and mandolin.
Thurs 13th THE GOOD THIEF
A play by Conor McPherson, presented by Gare St Lazare Players, Ireland with Conor Lovett. The story of a Dublin thug, whose botched job goes badly wrong, takes us on a road trip across Ireland.
Fri 14th AN EVENINGS ENTERTAINMENT
Featuring Cathy Nugent, Noel O Grady and Colm Stride O Brien. Proceeds to Sr Julie’s Presentation Sisters Mission in Pakistan.
Tues 18th GRANDMA’S GARDEN
7PM A delightful puppet show for 3-6 years olds. Presented by Dowtcha Puppets, Cork – its full of surprises, magical characters and funny songs.
Tues 25th THE PAGE-TURNER
Melanie, an attractive young woman, becomes an on-stage page-turner for a famous concert pianist, then a friend and confidant- all to settle an old score. A French Film with English subtitles. In association with Access Cinema.
Fri 28th THE HAPPY PRINCE/THE REMARKABLE ROCKET
A drama double bill from the pen of Oscar Wilde presented by Bewleys Café Theatre. With Michael James Ford and live music composed and performed by Trevor Knight (Auto De Fé)
