The Salmon Leap Farm is just a short drive away for the famous Killarney Lakes. There are also several lakes and rivers ideal for angling; though a permit is required. Golfing is also a popular activity, with courses available in Killarney, Kenmare, Tralee and Dooks. The Killarney National Park is ideal for a peaceful walk in the unspoilt countryside.
The Salmon Leap Farm is near to the world famed Killarney, a scenic destination for over 150 years. You haven’t seen Ireland until you have seen the landscape that is unique to Kerry. Glenflesk is the perfect place to explore this haven of scenic beauty.
Salmon Leap has 6 B&B en-suite bedrooms. There is a guest sitting room and we have a no smoking policy at Salmon Leap. Enjoy breakfast in our oldest room where we provide locally produced food where possible. Salmon Leap is accreditted by GTBS as a gold standard green tourism accommodation. This is the highest possible award available. Some of the measures required to achieve the gold standard include solar panels for water heating, recycling glass, plastic and cans, aerated waste water treatment system, bat protection, eco friendly cleaning products, eco friendly soap and shampoo, water saving devices throughout the property, protection of our archaeological site, food waste digestor (green cone), wildlife habital on farm, regular certified maintenance of oil boilers, all future appliance replacement to A rating, eco friendly paper products, member of local litter collection group, green electricity supplier, towel policy, air dried laundry and eco ball washing, bulk buying of soap and shampoo products (refill containers), fairtrade tea and coffee.

I could not complain about anything in this farmhouse. Not only were we looked after superbly but our two Great Dane dogs had loads of space to run, play and sniff. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and will be back again.

An excellent accomodation with lovely, clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Located in a beautiful landscape with lots to explore in the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

Sean gave very helpful advice concerning travel and sights in the area. Although no coffee making facilities in the bedroom, Sean was always happy to make cups for visitors.
