Superb location on the lake - excellent rooms, good quality dinner. My fourth stay at the hotel in four years and will continue to go back
This hotel has the best location of any hotel I stayed in while in Ireland. Right next to a beautiful lake! Perfect for anyone who wants to drive The Ring of Kerry and about 5 minutes drive from the center of Killarney.

The Lake Hotel was a fabulous place to stay. We would recommend it to anyone, we really enjoyed our stay there. Taking the location and service and food into consideration into account, it was probabaly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
The hotel was top quality in everything and also the Manager went out of his way to give us detailed information on sight seeing in the area.We had some lovely days out thanks to him.
The first room we stayed in was VERY nosy! We complained and the staff had us moved straight away! Must say very very good! Can't wait to stay there again...
We were very pleased with the hotel and will visit the hotel again over the next few years.

The hotel was at a great location the only thing we could fault was the bar staff were very slow & some of them didnt have great english.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful,the scenery and the grounds are fantastic we will definitely be returning. On arrival due to the busy weekend our room wasn't available and with a restless young baby maybe a courtesy room should be available for changes and feeding all that could be offered was a wheel chair toilet and no indication exactly how long our room would take. Our first room had no fridge facing the car park and when contacting reception they transferred us to a fantastic room facing the lake for a little fee which made our weekend and we were very thankful for this.
Excellent - ideal if you want to get away. My girlfriend really enjoyed the Spa and with the Lake right outside the door it was really relaxing. Staff were very helpful, food in restaurant was tasty.
We stayed in the Lake Hotel for one night in our three night stay at various locations around South West Ireland. The Lake Hotel provides a perfect base to tour the Ring of Kerry and its location in the Lakes of Killarney is absolutely stunning. There is even a hot tub on the shores of the lake, so don't forget to bring swimwear like we did. Booking a standard room at the hotel through GoIreland saved around £50 in comparison with other sites and on arrival we discovered that the hotel had given us a complimentary upgrade to a superior room with a lake view and balcony! This was our first weekend away as a couple and the Lake Hotel helped make it absolutely fantastic, we would definitely recommend it.

This is a most comfortable and quiet hotel located in a spectacular setting. The staff are excellent and are the most attentive that I have met - nothing was too much and everybody smiled! I would be delighted to return and to recommend the hotel to all friends.
Excellent, location a real gem. Nice feeling in hotel, staff were very curtious and we enjoyed our two night stay at the Lake Hotel.
The hotel is set in beautiful grounds however the standard room we were given was below average for a hotel of this rating. Originally we were put in a room for a 'reduced mobility' person. After a long drive from Dublin this was disappointing to say the least as the shower facilities were not acceptable.After requesting the room be changed,we were moved promptly but the room was small & cramped, overlooking the carpark and with old fashioned outdated decor and facilities (tv & bedding).I was very suprised considering the reputation of the hotel and it was the only fault I could find witht he whole trip.
The hotel was absolutely wonderful - a highlight of our holiday. The weather was attrocious - drove around the Ring of Kerry and saw only fog and no famous views - so difficult to comment upon the area - believe that it is lovely! The hotel was a destination in itself though with its own history and ambience.
The staff were friendly and helpful but not overly familiar and they did all they could to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We had a lovely view of the lake and grounds: we had a good room despite being on a "special offer" weekend. Only complaint was the ensuite bathroom fan wasn't working, but that was minor overall. Clean, comfortable, beautiful views, close to all amenities but secluded enough to feel private, courteous and helpful staff. Highly recommended, very good value.
The Standard rooms were much too small as we had our 14 mth old daughter with us. We also required a fridge in the room so we requested to be upgraded to a superior room which we were very happy with.

This hotel was excellent in every way. the view of the lake, the grounds, the deer walking out side our room. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff was there for your every need.
I thought this was a brilliant place to go to relax.I would have enjoyed if the hotel had a swimmimg pool.

Absolutely wonderful ... best holiday hotel we've had for years. The views of the lake from the room balcony were spectacular ... and the deer feeding on the lawn outside whilst we were having our meal were amazing.
We really engoyed our stay, when you drive in you really start to relax when you see the view, the staff were realy helpful, great value for money, will have to get back soon!
It was a real pleasure to stay there for 3 nights. The view, the room It was a pleasure to stay there. The room, we had a suite, and the view from the window were magnificent. The service very good and the atmospere relaxing. All what is necessary to have a perfect vacation.
IT WAS A JUST PERFECT,LOCATION LOCATION! THE VIEWS WERE LOVELY FROM OUR BALCONY, MOUNTAINS AND LAKES. THE FOOD WAS DELICOUS, FRESH AND GENEROUS PORTIONS. MR HUGGARD THE OWNER WAS VERY ENTERTAINING AND WE ENJOYED HIS STORIES ABOUT THE HOTEL.I WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK.MAY I SUGGEST THAT THE HOTEL PROVIDES BOAT TRIPS AROUND THE LAKE AND A LARGER HOT TUB.ALISON FANNING
It´s a most beautiful house and a great experience.
We really enjoyed the natural spot in which it is situated, the landscape and the view. The interior decoration and the furniture are also amazing.
