Work first began on Kells Gardens in 1847 with new additions still being added to this day. It is a plant enthuasists paradise showing an array of mature plants such as Yuccas, Asioniums, Aeoniums, Agaves, Puya to name but a few. The gardens are home to the largest palm tree in Ireland (Jubaea chilensis). This 11 tonne palm tree was imported from Chile and replanted in the gardens in 2007. Be sure to take a leisurely stroll around some of the other attractions these magnificent gardens have to offer, Primeval Forest, Bamboo Glade, Walled Garden, Cliff Walk and River Walk.

Kells Gardens are located just off the Ring of Kerry road.
