With a stunning location amidst Killarney’s lake and mountain district, Hillcrest Farmhouse is the perfect place to rest your head. It’s situated about 28km from Killarney town in one of Killarney's most renowned scenic areas - the Black Valley, which lies nestled between the Lakes of Killarney and the McGillycuddy Reeks.

Hillcrest Farmhouse offers an excellent level of service in its five guest bedrooms – it has been recommended by a number of walking publications as well as Guide De Routard and Brittany Ferries. All rooms are en suite with tea & coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a television.

Directions

From Killarney follow the N71. At Molls Gap take a right followed by another right after ¼ of a mile or so. Hillcrest Farmhouse is about 6 miles from here.

Description

There’s a full breakfast menu to choose from in the morning and there’s always plenty home baking on offer. Packed lunches and dinners are available on request (if possible ask the day before) and there’s also a drying room – very useful if you return from a walking trip soaking wet.
If you’re the outdoors type you’ll love it here. A section of the well known ‘Kerry Way’ walking route is located nearby as are many other scenic walking routes. It’s only about a 5 minute walk to one of the lakes in Killarney National Park (Upper Lake) and as a touring base it’s also ideal.

It's position - we wondered where we were going to land up! After travelling all day Bob offered us dinner which was great as we could not face up to another half an hour in the car to get to the pub! A very warm welcome and a wonderful place.
