Kenmare or Neidín in Irish is a picturesque and historical town linking the famous Ring of Kerry to the scenic Ring of Beara. The Tourist Board has given the town the honour of being Kerry’s first heritage town. The enchanting and interesting story of Kenmare can be discovered at the Kenmare Heritage Centre. Walk the beautiful landscape and discover the natural and unspoilt environment around you.
Take a swing at things at the Ring of Kerry Golf Club, designed by Eddie Hackett. The enthusiastic golfer can expect some breathtaking scenery with the rugged Caha Mountains to the south, the beautiful McGillycuddy Reeks to the North while overlooking the calm waters of Kenmare Bay. Needless to say, the course is challenging for any golfer and a real test of your golfing skills. With Cork just 90 minutes away and Killarney just a short drive north, you are perfectly situated to tour the entire south west of Ireland. The breakfast menu is something else! Whatever you want, Hillcrest B&B certainly has it. Start your day off with a choice of · Full Irish breakfast with all the trimmings, · Orange juice and cereal, · Scrambled eggs, bacon and tomatoes, · Irish pancakes, crispy bacon and maple syrup or honey, · Yogurt and fresh fruit selection · Cold meats and cheese. All of these are available to you served up with a nice fresh brew of tea
