The meal we had was possibly the best of our weeklong trip,which included the Smugglers Inn Waterville and JimEdwards restaurant Kinsale,both gourmet establishments.
Well Located, easy to find. Nice room but too close from external air shaft. However the noise is acceptable. The welcoming was not so warm may be the young lady was stressed!
I was very impressed with the Grand Hotel. Its smack bang in the centre of Tralee. Couldn't have got any closer. The only thing I was disappointed about was the lack of parking. We had to park on the street which was pay parking. There were no lifts either which meant we had to use the stairs everytime but we didnt mind because we are young!

Found having no lift in the hotel a disadvantage as I suffer from a back problem found the stairs difficult at times. Another disadvantage no hotel carpark
The room - double - was much too small for two people. When I booked I asked for a smoking room but we were sent to a no smoking room. The food was expensive by normal standards but as it was race week the additional expense was expected.
Great place, centrally located in Tralee. Great staff; pretty nice room.
