Glencar House Hotel is set in the heart of the highlands of Kerry, beside the beautiful Caragh River. It was originally built as a hunting & fishing lodge in 1732.
This delightful 2 star hotel prides itself in 300 years of tradition and hospitality. Here you can enjoy the tranquil scenery of the valley, woods and the MacGillicuddy Reeks. The hotel also offers a wide variety of outdoor activities from salmon fishing, golf, walking and pony trekking.
Glencar House Hotel is an ideal base for touring the Ring of Kerry. The town of Killorglin is just 15 minutes drive away and is home to the Puck Fair Festival in August. Killarney is just 35 minutes drive where you can enjoy a walk around the breathtaking Muckross House and Gardens.

Directions

From Dublin
Take the N7 to Limerick, then follow signs for Tralee and the N21. From Limerick take the N21 to Castleisland, then the N23 (signposted Killarney). After Kerry Airport turn left then immediately right, (signposted Killorglin). At Killorglin turn right across the bridge, then first left at the Bianconi Inn. After 2km turn right following the sign for Glencar House Hotel, 14km away. Stay on the same road until you pass Acoose Lake on your left. Take the next right, following the sign for Glencar House Hotel. After the Rowan Tree pub, turn left and the hotel is 1km on the right.
From Cork
Take the N22 to Killarney. At Killarney follow the signs for Tralee and Killorglin. From Killarney take the N72 to Killorglin. At Killorglin turn left across the bridge, then first left at the Bianconi Inn. After 2km turn right following the sign for Glencar House Hotel, 14km away.
