Anglers profitably stalk wild trout and the good runs of spring salmon and grilse in Lough Leane, the River Flesk and the River Laune which drain the lakes of Killarney. Other waters around Killarney holding stocks of brown trout include the Upper Lake, Muckross Lake, Lough Guitane, The Little River Maine and the Brown Flesk River. Further west on the Iveragh Peninsula, Lough Currane, Inny River, Cummeragh River, Sneem River, Lough Iskanamacteery, Caragh River, Caragh Lake, Lough Acoose, Finnihy River and the River Blackwater are excellent for wild brown trout. Other excellent game angling waters are Uragh Lough, Croansaght River, Glanmore Lough, Glenbeg Lough, Lough Fadda and the River Roughty around Kenmare and the Beara Peninsula. Around Tralee and the Dingle Peninsula the waters of the Owenmore River, Lough Gill, River Feale in North Kerry, Lough Anascaul and the Owenascaul River are profitable hunting grounds for the game angler.
