festivals and fairs killarney

The Killarney Summerfest is one of the biggest and best festivals in the south west. It's held annually in the picturesque town of Killarney in County Kerry.

The programme has events and activities to suit all age and tastes. As well as lots of street entertainment they'll be special kiddies events like the much loved Teddy Bear's Picnic,  productions at the INEC, a fun - fair carnival and lots of children's workshops.

The All-Ireland Ceoltas Champions Kilcummin provide the best in Irish dancing and Irish music in the day that everyone celebrates everything that it means to be Irish. The Parade normally starts at 2pm and it is renowned as the most colourful parade on the island and with 7 marching bands you can be sure of plenty of noise and music....

A five day celebration of the best in local and international Traditional Irish music song and dance through concerts, workshops, sessions and lectures....

The festival consists of a series of hands on workshops for Primary School children.  Muckross Research Library works closely with Muckross Traditional Farms in the running of this event....
