Mara Beo - Dingle Oceanworld is a spectacular aquarium, overlooking the scenic Dingle Harbour, in County Kerry. Oceanworld reveals the fascinating species that live in the waters around the magnificent Dingle Peninsula, but this experience is also a journey through the Peninsula's ancient sea culture and it's people's interface with the sea from the pre-Christian era to the present time.
Walk through an Undersea Tunnel and see the creatures of the deep and afterwards feel the fish life in the touch tank. You can also come face to face with the artefacts of the Spanish Armada, or follow the footsteps of St.Brendan the Navigator on his voyages of discovery across the atlantic ocean.
The highlight of a visit to Dingle Oceanworld is probably the undersea tunnel. Audiovisual displays and multimedia interactives follow the footsteps of St. Brendan the Navigator and artifacts from the Spanish Armada are on display. Two ships from the Armada "The Santa Marie de la Rosa" and the "Juan Bautista" lie in the Blasket Sound.
