The Centre is now up and running since the Summer of 2000. Burke's Horse Trekking Centre is a family run business which also provides a Visitors Farm consisiting of Dairy Cows, Sheep and Cattle. Burke's Horse Trekking Centre, Rossbeigh Beach is located on the world-renowned Ring of Kerry and has established a reputation in recent years as "a trekker's paradise".
Approximately twenty minutes from Killarney town, Burke's are situated on the verge of Rossbeigh Beach which is seven miles long. Galloping on Rossbeigh Beach close to the water's edge is an experience riders of all levels will never forget.
To add to the magic, the Dingle and Iverage Mountains form a beautiful backdrop to Rossbeigh Beach, creating the ultimate sceneary to go with the ultimate riding experience.
Burke's Horse Trekking Centre provides horses and ponies for people of all ages and caters for novice riders, first-timers and experienced riders. All of the treks go to the beach. Trekking along miles of country road or through the mountains are also enjoyable experiences, which will never be forgotten.
The centre is approved by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (AIRE) which promotes the sport of amateur horse riding.

AIRE represents, develops and encourages the observance of the highest standards of quality and service in the managment and operation of horse riding establishments.
In order to implement its mandate on maintaining the highest standards of quality and service, AIRE retatins a panel of Inspectors, who inspect our members annually. All equipment, such as hard hats are supplied by Burke's Horse Trekking Centre for its riders. There is also a special "Kiddie Trek" though the Burke family cater for children of all ages.
The Trekking Centre is part of the working farm, and everyday farm practices can be viewed when you visit this special activity centre in one of Ireland's most magnificent regions.

Bus Tour

Burkes activity centre now caters for Tour buses on the Ring of Kerry. vVsitors will get an inside view of farming life today in Ireland . The tour starts off with sheep dogs rounding up the sheep, a wonderful experience to watch.

The guide will then take the group through the farm which has beautiful views of Rossbeigh Beach and the local mountains. The main event will then take place with the Milking of the Cows; visits can last for half-hour to an hour and half depending on the time available the tour has before leaving for the ring of Kerry. There is a restaurant on site with ample bus parking facilities.
