This old world Elizabethan style house was built by Lady Gordon, a lady of titled Irish lineage, in 1913. It nestles on the slopes of Lake Caragh, surrounded by mountains and fits harmoniously into the landscape in an aura of browns and purple hue. The title Ard na Sidhe is Gaelic, translated, means “ The Hill of the Fairies”. This fairy hill is at the rear of the house with passages leading to a large cave. To interfere with this fairy fort is thought to bring the wrath of the mythical inhabitants of Ireland… Killarney Hotels Ltd has created an ambience of graceful elegance combined with the luxury of modern comforts while maintaining an old world enchantment with its collection of antique furnishing and paintings.

Turn left and continue straight out this road until you arrive in Killarney (approx 10 minute drive - this is the main Tralee / Killarney Road). You will arrive at a roundabout with a shop called Lidl on your right hand side. Turn right at this round about and continue to the next mini roundabout, take the third exit signposted for Killorglin/N72 and Ring of Kerry. Continue on this road for about 13 miles (20 minutes) until you arrive in Killorglin. Turn left at the mini round-about, across the bridge into Killorglin. When in Killorglin, proceed up the hill through the town and turn left at the mini roundabout at the top of the town (you have the option to go left or straight over).
