Approximately fifteen miles from Mullingar, Kilbeggan is home to Locke's Distillery Museum believed to be the oldest Pot Still Distillery in the world. Visit to see how the famous Locke's whiskey was distilled. Guided tours available. There is also a Craft Shop and a Coffee Shop. Also in Kilbeggan is the only Turf Club approved race course in Westmeath....

The county's race-course is at Tramore. Events are held throughout the year. The County offers a wide choice of horse riding facilities suitable for every rider, novice or experienced, regardless of age. Trekking and trail riding over farmland, forest and mountain is available as are cross country courses designed to please the more experienced rider....

The course measures 1 mile and 2 furlongs and it's a right-hand course. National Hunt and Flat races are taken place here through out the year,  with day and evening meetings. The main races are in October  where the Kilbegnet Novice Chase is the main feature. 
Many horses that have ran at Roscommon went on to run at the Ascots and Cheltham Races. These include  "Imperial Call" and "Enzeli"....

This course measures over 1 mile and 4 furlongs. Both flat and jump races are held here. There are many race days held here through out the year, including Ladies' Day in October.
