The first racemeeting was held in Naas on 19th June 1924. Naas is a Flat and National Hunt track which races from October to July. Naas is the scene of many a top class horse's debut in National Hunt racing. There is no reserved enclosure and the close proximity of the parade ring, to the betting and bookmakers rail to all other facilities gives Naas a unique atmosphere. Among its best known races are the Birdcatcher Nursery and the Slaney and Johnstown Hurdles....

Limerick Racecourse Finishing Post

A grade 1 racetrack opened in October 2001 hosts 20 race meetings each year. The venue providing free parking, catering and bar facilities for race days.  Calendar highlights include Summer Evening Twilight festival with live music from May to July and the Christmas festival consists of 4 days of national hunt racing and is a highlight of the social calendar in the city each year.  Range of hospitality options available to enjoy the racing in style and enjoy award winning catering.

The racecourse is situated 23 miles north of Dublin, off the main Dublin-Belfast road and 7 miles south of Drogheda. The race track measures 1 mile and 1 furlong. The first race ever held here was in 1726.

Races are noe held here regulary through out the year....

Listowel Racecourse is a fantastic horse racing venue in the south west and attracts large crowds to its race meetings. During a race meeting the town comes alive with the streets, hostelries and pubs buzzing with entertainment.

Listowel is particularly noted as a spawning town for great contemporary writers such as John B. Keane ('The Field'), Bryan McMahon, Brendan Kenneally and J.B. Gaughan.
