This is a natural lough lying 4 miles north west of Ballynahinch and 6 miles south east of Lisburn. It is south of the A49 and anglers must use the official entrance off the Lisburn- Ballynahinch road. Fishing stands have been provided on the west side and all the other banks are safe for wading. River Angling:
Rivers that are reasonable for good brown trout are the Clare River and Robe River, both of which can produce trout to mainly dry fly on summer evenings and during daytime in Mayfly time. The River Robe flows through Ballinrobe and enters Lough Mask, while the Clare river flows into Lough Corrib, on the eastern side.

Stoneyford Reservoir Stoneyford which is 160 acres and Leathemstown which is 28 acres are two of the most popular trout fisheries in Northern Ireland. They are both to the north west of Lisburn. The reservoirs are stocked with takable brown and rainbow trout. Angling is not allowed before 8am or after 10pm. The season runs from 1 March to 31 October. There is a 4 trout bag limit and a 10 inch size limit. All legitimate methods are allowed but groundbait and maggots are not permitted....

This lough is to the east of and adjacent to the T73 Buncrana-Clonmany road. It is a lough on which you need a boat because of the reeds. It hold a big stock of small brown trout and is best fished on summer evenings with small flies. If you are careful you can fish in shallow water between the reedbeds and the shore. This Reservoir is situated at the head of the Bush River, four and a half miles north east of Clough Mills. It is in a very attractive location with pine forest to the north and south.
