This is a small mountain lough situated on a high windswept moorland to the east of Slieve Beagh and near the Tyrone--Monaghan border. It is a long way from the nearest road and at least a good 2-mile walk, which will probably take as many hours. It is wise to tell some one where you are going and when to expect you back. Lough Ash lies to the north of B48 Plumbridge-Dunnamangh road and is entirely dependent on stocked trout. A number of quite large brown trout are stocked every season with a view to providing anglers with good catches. The season runs from 1 March to 20 October. Craigavon, Armagh
These lakes have been designed as a feature of Craigavon City Park and cover an area of 168 acres. They are stocked with rainbow trout and the opening and closing date is announced annually. There is a 4 trout daily bag limit and a 10 inch size limit. All legal methods are allowed except groundbait and maggots. This is a large limestone lough 4 miles south of Enniskillen on the A509 Belturbet road, a little south of Ballanaleck village. It has been cleared of coarse fish and is stocked with brown and rainbow trout-some of which grow very big indeed. It has given some really excellent fishing in recent years.
