In a beautiful rural setting, the Turoe Pet Farm and Leisure Park form a delightful surrounding for the TUROE STONE, a rare NATIONAL MONUMENT dating back to the 2nd or 1st century B.C. This granite rock, exquisitely decorated with curvilinear designs in the CELTIC art style known as La Tene, is believed to have been used as a ritual stone in its original setting in the nearby Rath of Feerwore.

The Open Farm provides great attractions for young and old, native and tourist. The delightful nature walk around the farm is a paradise for anyone seeking the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. A variety of domestic and rare birds and animals can be enjoyed on the trail while the Duck Pond has many breeds of ducks and geese waiting to entertain the visitor. The Wishing Well is another special attraction while the Sheep Wash on the river running through the wooded area and the collection of old farm machinery are special features of the past. Excellent facilities are provided to cater for individual, family and group needs.

The farm is situated 6km north of the N6 at Loughrea near the village of Bullaun on the R350.
