Re-opened, following substantial refurbishment, it features a 400 seater main auditorium, as well as a small 80 seater auditorium. The Town Hall offers a full programme of plays, concerts, films and events throughout the summer.

This building was originally erected in the 1820s and was first used as a courthouse. Later it served as a conventional town Hall. In the 1950s the building was converted to a cinema until it fell into disrepair and was closed in the 1990s.

The building features a fine portico overlooking the newly pedestrianised Courthouse Square and a renovated bar/café in the upper foyer.
