Ideal for a relaxing break away from the stresses of modern living, you can enjoy the rugged coastline, tranquil bog land and views of the famous Twelve Pins Mountain Range.
Strolls along this magical landscape offer distant views of the world famous Aran Islands, Clare Hills and Cliff’s of Moher, whilst within one hour’s drive from Clifden.
The cottages are located on the Gaeltacht Island off Leitir Móir, which is joined to the Connemara mainland by bridge.

Directions

Directions from Galway City to the Island Holiday Cottages
Take the Coast Road (R336) from Galway City – you will go through Salthill, Barna, Spiddal (Spideal) and Inverin (Indreabhán).
At Costello (Casla) take the first rights after the Texaco Station (R374 ).
Continue on that road for about 4.5 miles – you will go over a bridge and then pass a pub called “An Hooker”.
The Island Cottages are 500 metres from the Pub on your right hand side and are well signposted.

Each cottage consists of three bedrooms; two twin bedded rooms downstairs and one large double bedroom upstairs. All bedrooms have ample storage space and W.H.B.
All bed linen is supplied; cots and highchairs are available upon request.
The cottages are very spacious boasting a large sitting room where one can relax in front of an open fire, dining area and kitchen with all modern conveniences.

We really liked the house it had an old cottage feel about it and the manager loaned me a baby buggy of her own because I didnt have one with me which was very nice, she was very helpful. We enjoyed lighting a fire in the house at night and were delighted that we could also bring our dog.All in all if the weather had been better it would have been perfect.
