The Waterfront is an attractive country house, nestled right on the beautiful calm shores of Lough Corrib.
Guests will enjoy the awe inspiring views of the surrounding Connemara hills.
This superb country house is located far away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, yet in an area, which is rich in outdoor pursuits.
The Waterfront offers excellent accommodation in its 6 ensuite bedrooms. All the bedrooms are equipped with modern facilities that include a telephone, hairdryer and coloured TV. Free WiFi internet access is available throughout the house.

Directions

Directions to the Waterfront House
  • Take the N59 (Galway - Clifden road)
  • Depart the N59 at the Oughterard Golf Course
  • Take the Golf Course road, which is also the road to the Aughnanure Castle
  • Pass the Golf Clubhouse
  • Turn left 500 metres before the Castle
  • Follow the directional signs for the Waterfront House
  • Drive along the shore of Lough Corrib to the end of the road to the Waterfront House

Bike hire, horseriding, watersports and hillwalking can all be enjoyed locally. Other outdoor pursuits include golf, sailing and pitch and putt.

This is a beautiful place. In the vicinity are several monuments and natural sites to visit. Lough Corrib is right in front of the house. Mary was very correct and nice to us. I recommend it. I hope to come back and catch (and release) some trout.

The venue is set in a fantastic lochside location. With stunning views of Loch Corrib. The acomodation was a good size and the room had views over the loch.

Solo traveller

I found it a little difficult to find. It was fairly cool while I was staying there but there was no heating turned on in the bathroom or bedrooms. There were no tea making facilities in the room and I wasn't offered a cup on arrival. The house has breathtaking views over the lake and is close to the golf course where I was able to have a lovely reasonably priced meal. It is also close to Aughnanure Castle which is worth visiting.
